Admission guidance by course

Merit Bridge is a free college admission counselling service based in India, helping students secure MBBS, MBA, PGDM, B.Tech, BBA and BCA seats. Every course below runs on its own entrance exams, counselling calendar and eligibility rules — pick yours to see what the admission route actually looks like, and the colleges that offer it.

MBBS admission

NEET UG is the single gateway to every MBBS seat in India, and All India Quota, state quota and deemed-university counselling all run on different calendars. We work out which counselling rounds your score realistically qualifies for, and keep your backup options (BDS, BAMS, allied health) open rather than closing them by default.

PG · 2 years · Master of Business Administration

MBA admission

Most B-schools accept more than one entrance score, so a modest CAT percentile does not end the conversation — XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT and GMAT each open a different band of colleges. We map your percentile against actual cutoffs, then build a shortlist with genuine safety, match and reach options instead of a wish list.

PG · 2 years · Post Graduate Diploma in Management

PGDM admission

PGDM programmes are run by autonomous institutes rather than affiliated universities, which means updated syllabi and separate application windows — but also that AICTE approval and placement records vary widely. We check approvals and reported placements before a college reaches your list, and explain where a PGDM beats an MBA for your goals.

B.Tech admission

Beyond JEE Main and Advanced, state CETs and private university tests such as BITSAT and VITEEE each admit to a different set of institutes. Branch matters as much as brand here: we compare CSE, ECE and core branches against placement data so you are not trading a strong branch for a familiar name.

BBA admission

BBA admissions run on Class 12 marks, CUET UG, or institute tests like IPMAT, NPAT and SET depending on the college. If a five-year integrated management programme fits your plan better than BBA followed by MBA, we will say so — and show you what each route costs end to end.

BCA admission

BCA is the practical route into software roles without a JEE rank, and most colleges admit on Class 12 marks or a university-level test. We focus on curriculum currency and internship pipelines, because a BCA degree is worth what its placement and project exposure make it.

Questions

Admission consultancy FAQs

What does an admission consultancy actually do?

An admission consultancy evaluates your academic profile and entrance scores, shortlists colleges where you have a realistic chance, tracks every application and counselling deadline, and guides you through choice filling, seat allotment and document verification until the admission is confirmed. The best admission consultants in India tell you which colleges to avoid as readily as which ones to apply to.

Is admission counseling free for students?

Yes. Profile evaluation, college shortlisting and deadline tracking are free for students and parents. We are compensated by partner institutions, so our guidance never carries a fee for you.

Which courses do you handle admissions for?

We cover MBBS, MBA, PGDM, B.Tech, BBA and BCA admissions, along with law, design, commerce and allied health programmes. Each course has its own entrance exams, counselling calendar and eligibility rules, and we advise on all of them.

Can I get admission with a low entrance exam score?

Often yes, but not to every college. A modest CAT percentile still opens colleges that accept XAT, CMAT, MAT or ATMA; a low JEE Main rank still opens state CET and private university routes. What matters is applying to the right band of colleges early rather than waiting for a result that will not change.

Which entrance exams do I need for MBBS, MBA and B.Tech?

MBBS admission in India runs entirely through NEET UG. MBA and PGDM programmes accept CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT and ATMA depending on the institute. B.Tech admissions use JEE Main and JEE Advanced along with state CETs and private tests such as BITSAT and VITEEE.

When should I start the admission process?

Ideally three to six months before your first application window. Starting early leaves room to prepare documents, compare fee structures and keep backup options open if a result does not go your way.
