Dhubri Medical College & Hospital Dhubri Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) is a prominent government medical institution in Assam, established with the vision of strengthening medical education, healthcare delivery, and research in the region. Located at R.K. Mission Road, Jhagrarpar, Dhubri, the institution is the ninth government medical college in Assam and plays an important role in addressing the healthcare and educational needs of the people of western Assam. The college functions under the Government of Assam and is academically affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati. Dhubri Medical College & Hospital was formally inaugurated and dedicated to the people on 13 October 2022. The National Medical Commission granted permission for the college to begin its MBBS programme with an annual intake of 100 students from the 2022–23 academic session. The institution follows a competency-based approach to medical education, combining classroom learning with practical and clinical exposure to help students develop strong medical knowledge, clinical skills, and professional values. The associated hospital is designed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the surrounding population. Its facilities include inpatient and outpatient services, emergency and trauma care, intensive care facilities, operation theatres, diagnostic and laboratory services, blood bank facilities, and advanced imaging services. The hospital also provides services across several specialties, including General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, Radio-Diagnosis, Dentistry, and Emergency Medicine.
