### Indian Institute of Management Nagpur The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) is one of India’s newer IIMs, established in 2015 with the aim of developing capable managers, entrepreneurs and future leaders. The institute began its academic journey under the mentorship of IIM Ahmedabad, with its first batch of management students starting in July 2015. Today, IIM Nagpur has developed its own identity through a combination of management education, industry interaction, research and practical learning. Located at MIHAN in Nagpur, Maharashtra, the institute operates from a large 132-acre campus designed to support academic activities, student life and experiential learning. A major feature of the institute’s approach is its focus on connecting classroom concepts with actual business situations. The Field Immersion Module is an important part of this approach, giving students an opportunity to understand practical problems and work towards possible solutions. IIM Nagpur focuses on creating professionals who can think analytically while also understanding the changing needs of businesses and society. Its academic environment encourages students to look beyond theoretical knowledge and develop skills that can be applied in management, business, public policy and other professional areas. The institute also places considerable importance on interaction with industry. Along with its regular management programmes, IIM Nagpur has expanded into areas such as executive education, research and specialised management initiatives. Its programmes are supported by faculty members involved in teaching, research and industry-oriented work. With its growing academic portfolio, practical learning opportunities and focus on industry engagement, IIM Nagpur has become an important institution for students and professionals looking to build careers in management. The institute continues to expand its academic and professional initiatives while working towards creating a learning environment that connects management theory with real-world challenges.
