About AIIMS Bilaspur All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, is a prominent medical institution established to strengthen access to advanced and affordable healthcare in the region. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3 October 2017. The Bhoomi Pujan was subsequently performed on 21 January 2019. The campus is being developed across approximately 247 acres in the Kothipura area of Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, with development planned in multiple phases. The first phase has established a major healthcare facility with a capacity of 750 beds and 41 specialty and super-specialty departments. It includes modern infrastructure such as intensive care units, modular operation theatres, CT and MRI facilities, digital radiography, a cardiac catheterization laboratory, dialysis services, diagnostic laboratories, and blood bank facilities.
