A significant milestone came in **2013**, when the Medical Council of India granted permission for the college to admit its first batch of **100 MBBS students**. Subsequent inspections and assessments allowed the institution to continue admissions in the following academic years. Today, Government Medical College, Bettiah serves a dual purpose as a centre for medical education and healthcare delivery. Along with undergraduate medical training, the institution has developed postgraduate and paramedical educational opportunities in different disciplines. Its hospital facilities support a wide range of clinical services and provide students with practical exposure to real-world healthcare situations.
