Chirayu Medical College & Hospital, Bhopal Chirayu Medical College & Hospital (CMCH), Bhopal, is a medical education and healthcare institution developed under the Chirayu Charitable Foundation. Located at Bhainsakhedi near Bairagarh on the Bhopal-Indore Highway, the institution combines medical education with clinical care and healthcare services. The journey of the Chirayu Group began in 1992 with a small 20-bed hospital. Over the years, it expanded its healthcare facilities and gradually developed into a larger medical group. A dedicated Cardiac Centre was introduced in 2004, followed by the establishment of Chirayu Medical College & Hospital in 2010. The medical institution was developed with a focus on providing students with opportunities to learn in a hospital-based environment while also serving patients from Bhopal and surrounding regions. The institution has also been associated with NABL and NABH accreditation. CMCH later broadened its educational activities by adding nursing and paramedical education. Its healthcare expansion also included the Chirayu Cancer Center, which was established in 2015 to provide oncology-related treatment and diagnostic services. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the institution played a significant role in patient care through its dedicated COVID-19 centre. In 2022, Chirayu Setu was introduced with services related to rehabilitation and de-addiction. The campus is designed around both academic and clinical requirements, with a medical college, teaching hospital, hostels and other student facilities. The hospital provides access to multiple clinical departments and modern medical equipment, giving students exposure to practical aspects of healthcare alongside classroom learning. For students looking at medical education in Madhya Pradesh, Chirayu Medical College & Hospital represents an institution where academic training and hands-on hospital exposure are closely connected. Its development over several decades also reflects the wider growth of the Chirayu healthcare group in Central India.
