The associated hospital is designed to provide OPD, emergency and inpatient healthcare services, with a planned capacity of 750 beds. Its clinical departments cover a broad range of specialties, including General Medicine, General Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiology, Trauma and Emergency, and several other disciplines. AIIMS Guwahati was formally inaugurated on April 14, 2023. With its focus on medical education, patient care and research, the institute aims to contribute to the development of skilled healthcare professionals and improve access to advanced healthcare services in Assam and the wider northeastern region.
